Christine Makovich, AGPC-NP
Christine Makovic is a highly motivated and reliable Nurse Practitioner with a strong foundation in wound care and physiatry, complemented by extensive experience as a Registered Nurse across various specialties including management, long-term care, psychiatric care, skilled nursing, and cardiac telemetry. Her career is marked by a commitment to patient care and operational excellence in fast-paced healthcare environments.
Currently serving as a Nurse Practitioner with Paragon Medical Group, Christine collaborates closely with therapy teams to assess and address the physical needs of patients, specializing in conditions such as spinal cord injuries, personal and vehicular injuries, and generalized weakness. She also performs joint injections to manage pain effectively.
In her former role at WoundWorks LLC, Christine excelled as a Wound Nurse Practitioner, where she skillfully assessed and treated diverse skin conditions including pressure injuries, burns, and reactions. Her expertise extends to performing skin grafting and debridements to facilitate healing, while ensuring ongoing monitoring and assessment of patient progress.
Previously with IntelyCare Staffing Agency, Christine’s role as an Agency RN involved traveling to various healthcare facilities experiencing staffing shortages, where she provided comprehensive care ranging from long-term care to acute management settings. Her responsibilities included patient admissions, discharges, and daily assessments aligned with individualized care plans.
Christine’s leadership capabilities are showcased during her tenure at The Woods on French Creek, where she served as a Registered Nurse/Supervisor overseeing admissions, staffing management, medication administration, and resident care activities within a long-term care facility.
Her career also includes significant roles such as Lead/Charge Nurse at Clear Vista Health and Wellness, Director of Health and Wellness at Symphony at Olmsted Falls, and Registered Nurse/Nursing Supervisor at Wesleyan Village, where she managed large healthcare teams, ensured regulatory compliance, and maintained high standards of patient care.
Christine Makovic earned her Masters of Nursing Adult/Gerontology PCNP from Walden University in May 2021, following an Associates in Health Sciences RN Degree from Bryant & Stratton College. She holds certifications in CPR BLS and Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and is certified to teach CPR by the American Red Cross.
In addition to her professional achievements, Christine actively volunteers for causes such as the American Heart Association’s “American Heart Walk,” demonstrating her dedication to community health and awareness.
